THEATRICAL DESIGN

Production Design: Drew Facey, Photos: Joe Perez

I was honoured to be commissioned to provide the comic book-style visuals for innovative production designer Drew Facey's Jessie Richardson Theatre Award-winning set design for Ecran de Fumée, a touring show directed by Rachel Peake for Théâtre la Seizième, British Columbia's acclaimed Francophone theatre company.

This faux-cockatoo was a stage prop commissioned by a director friend for a production of John Lazarus' play Chester, You Owe My Bird An Apology at the Langley School of Fine Arts.

Theatre Kelowna's production of Hans, the Witch and the Gobbin was one of two children's pantomimes I was commissioned to provide set designs for in the mid-1990s. The other was a traditional Cinderella pantomime for which I also designed the promotional materials.

Theatre Kelowna's production of Hans, the Witch and the Gobbin also saw me commissioned to design and produce a mask for the character of The Queen of the Forest.
